VKR Holding A/S Business Development, Group M&A

Business Development, Group M&A Consultant

Are you excited to leverage your consulting / M&A experience to drive strategic growth and deliver end-to-end transaction execution? Join our Business Development, Group M&A team, where you will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions for VKR Holding and in supporting our business areas - the VELUX Group and the DOVISTA Group - throughout their M&A processes. We are looking for someone who can progressively take ownership of transaction workstreams and is eager to take on increased responsibilities.

Your tasks

You will be a vital part of the Business Development, Group M&A team, which is responsible for business development at Holding level and the full M&A lifecycle—from growth and M&A Strategies, origination, valuation, due diligence, structuring to negotiation. You will report directly to the VP of Business Development, Group M&A, and collaborate closely with VKR Holding management, functional experts from Group Legal, and colleagues in VELUX® and DOVISTA®.

You will gain broad, hands-on experience within the following areas:

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the Group’s M&A and growth strategy, including definition of priority sectors, investment themes, and M&A roadmap
  • Support origination by screening sectors, building target lists, and reaching out to potential acquisition targets
  • Prepare investment cases and decision materials, outlining strategic rationale, market and competitive landscape, and building financial models
  • Coordinate and support due diligence workstreams (commercial, financial, legal, tax), including data room management and follow-up on findings
  • Support negotiations and the preparation/review of key transaction documentation
  • Drive day-to-day project management across internal and external specialists
  • Contribute to ongoing dialogues with investment banks, industry experts, management consultants and external advisors to strengthen market and deal intelligence
  • Prepare high-quality materials for Strategy Committee and board meetings and support post-signing planning (e.g., value creation and integration preparation)

Your profile

You hold a relevant master’s degree in finance, economics, or business. You have a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience from strategy consulting (combined with a strong interest in M&A), Investment Banking, Corporate Development/M&A or Private Equity. You have a proven ability to take ownership, structure complex workstreams, and communicate clearly with senior stakeholders in an international setting.

You possess strong analytical skills and solid business acumen, supplemented by technical and/or accounting understanding. You have advanced Excel modelling skills and are proficient in PowerPoint. You are highly structured, detail-oriented, and able to deliver high-quality output under time pressure. You build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, work well both independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills—including leading meetings/calls and driving clear follow-up. Excellent written and spoken English.

Your opportunities

In this role, you will develop in a professional, international environment and gain exposure to senior management. You will work closely with experienced M&A colleagues and cross-functional partners across VKR Holding and the VELUX® and DOVISTA® business areas, taking on a diverse set of tasks with ample scope to shape your responsibilities and contribute your ideas.

You will join a value-based, family-owned company with a long-term perspective, where people & culture are at the heart of our success. Guided by our Model Company ambition, we build businesses that create sustainable value through products useful to society.

Our headquarters are set in a beautiful parkland in Hørsholm, Denmark, and you should expect approximately 5–10 travel days per year in Denmark and internationally.
